Cancellation policy

Since MadeMay is a free discovery and messaging platform, there is no formal cancellation or refund policy tied to the platform itself.

Canceling an inquiry

If you have sent an inquiry but have not yet started a project, simply let the artisan know through messaging that you are no longer interested. There is no formal process required and no fees involved.

Canceling an ongoing project

If you and an artisan have agreed on a project and work is underway, any cancellation is between the two of you. Since payments and project terms are arranged directly between buyers and artisans, MadeMay is not involved in cancellation or refund decisions.

Tips for smooth cancellations

  • Communicate early -- If you are having second thoughts, let the artisan know as soon as possible.
  • Be respectful -- The artisan may have already invested time and materials. Handle the conversation with respect.
  • Refer to your agreement -- If you discussed payment terms and cancellation conditions with the artisan, refer to whatever was agreed upon.

Artists on MadeMay handle payments directly with their clients using their preferred method. MadeMay does not process or facilitate payments. Any financial arrangements related to cancellation are between the buyer and artisan.
