Is MadeMay free to use?

MadeMay is free for buyers. Artists run their storefront on a simple plan.

Free for buyers

You can browse artisan profiles, explore portfolios, save your favorite artisans, send inquiries, and message artists without paying anything. There are no subscription or listing fees.

Plans for artists

Invited artists choose one of three final membership plans during onboarding:

• Select — $2,000 upfront + 20% per order
• Signature — $5,000 upfront + 10% per order
• Patron — $0 upfront + 10% per order + one donated artwork selected by a MadeMay curator. MadeMay pays documented shipping costs up to $500.

Upfront membership payments are due after curation approval and before storefront activation. Existing founding artists keep their grandfathered launch terms.

How do artisans get paid?

Payments, messaging, and delivery coordination all happen on MadeMay — checkout is handled securely through Stripe, funds route to the artist through their connected account, and MadeMay's platform fee is deducted automatically.
