The Re-enactors

Subject: Figurative
Medium: Oil paint
Dimensions: 24x18
Created: 2020

These Re-enactors performed outside of my studio one day and I could not wait to paint their portrait. My ancestors fought on both sides of the Civil War so these two were especially chosen for that fact. This portrait is painted on a wood panel, again made and covered with layers of gesso as the Old Masters would have done.
