Vern

Subject: Portraits
Medium: Oil paint
Dimensions: 24x18
Created: 2026

Vern was a character who reminded me so much of my dad with the wearing of the hat. Again, I made the wood panel, covered it with many coats of gesso for craftsmanship and used the techniques of the Old Masters with an underpainting. It is being exhibited in an AAPL juried exhibit at the Salmagundi Club in New York this November and December 2026.
