Fall Proposal Day Landscape

Subject: Landscapes

An original oil on canvas paper depicting a vibrant autumn park landscape. The colorful fall trees frame a beautiful and romantic marriage proposal scene.

The commission story

A returning client commissioned this piece as a first-anniversary gift to recreate the exact park where her husband proposed. I approached the work by blending realism with my own style of impressionism. From a distance, the landscape appears highly realistic, but up close, delicate and expressive brushstrokes become visible—particularly in the vibrant autumn trees and the water. This technique allowed me to capture the magical, warm atmosphere of that unforgettable day.

The outcome

The couple was absolutely thrilled with the result. The painting became a deeply emotional anniversary gift and a piece they proudly display in their home. Knowing that my art immortalized such a special moment and will help them remember their proposal with even more love for the rest of their lives makes this an incredibly rewarding piece.
