An original watercolor on paper depicting the majestic Auyantepui. This landscape captures the mystical, ancient aura and imposing beauty of one of the world's oldest natural wonders.

The commission story

I created this piece for the Winsor & Newton Art Mail contest. This painting is very special to me because visiting Auyantepui is my biggest dream. Since it is one of the oldest places in the world, it feels magical and spiritual, like the beginning of our planet. I painted this watercolor trying to show the beauty and history of a place that has been here forever.

The outcome

The final painting shows my deep love for this special place. The watercolor perfectly captures the soft water falling over the strong, ancient rocks. This piece is a tribute to the beautiful origins of our Earth, and represents my goal to see its magic with my own eyes. Since Winsor & Newton will sell these postcards after the exhibition, I truly hope this piece ends up in the hands of someone who appreciates it as much as I do.
