“Ready for the Jungle School” portrays a young monkey holding a feather while resting safely in the arms of an adult. Painted in black-and-white oil on paper using the dry brush technique, the intimate composition explores tenderness, curiosity, and the protective bond between parent and young.
The outcome
The artwork was selected as a Finalist in the 13th International Art Renewal Center Salon Competition in 2018 and as a Finalist in the 2018 Richeson75 International Animals, Birds & Wildlife Competition. It was published in the Richeson75 International “Animals, Birds & Wildlife” 2018 publication, Hyperrealism Magazine No. 5, ATIM’s Top 60 Masters of Contemporary Art magazine, and the International Realism book.
